Annual Golf Tournament
Each Autumn, The Arc Los Angeles and Orange Counties partners with the Rotary Club of Downey to host a golf tournament benefiting The Arc, its programs, and the participants we serve. Enthusiasts and casual players alike register to tee off in teams, bid on auction items, and enjoy a day of golfing with fellow members of the community. Proceeds are used to enrich our programs and fund events for our participants.
This year’s Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Rio Hondo Golf Club in Downey, CA. Last year, the event sold out, so don’t wait to organize your team.

The Arc Walk For Independence
In March of every year, The Arc Los Angeles and Orange Counties hosts The Annual Arc Walk for Independence at the Stonewood Center in Downey, CA. Participating individuals walk either a one- or a three-mile course to raise awareness, advocacy, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities’ (IDD) full inclusion in our Los Angeles and Orange County communities. This is The Arc’s largest annual event, drawing over 3,000 community members, families, Arc participants, and community leaders to come together in support of the IDD community. Groups make and carry signs to promote their companies or businesses, their family member with IDD, or even their favorite sports team. Registration incudes breakfast and a Tshirt, and lots of other swag is available for purchase. Proceeds from the Walk directly benefit individuals with disabilities served by The Arc.
2023 saw our 27th event, as well as the first in-person event since COVID-19. Check back for registration! This event is fun for the whole family!
